Recruitment scam
The Ghana Police service has in recent times been hit with a number of recruitment scams.
The service in June recorded another recruitment scam involving a number of young men and women hit the Ghana Police service last week.
Over 500 people were given recruitment letters after allegedly paying between GHC1,500 to GHC2,500 and asked to report at the training depots last Friday.
The Police have since arrested three men for their alleged involvement in the scam.
A similar enlistment scam that hit the service earlier in 2015.
Some officials of the Police Service were later implicated in the scam including the Service’s Director-General in-charge of Human Resource, COP Patrick Timbilla.
