Black Stars |
Mauritius will
look to close in on Group H leaders Ghana in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations
qualifiers when they face Rwanda in Kigali on Tuesday.
Club M beat Amavubi 1-0 in Belle Vue Maurel on Saturday, with Francis Rasolofonirina scoring the only goal. The result took the islanders up to second place in the group on six points, and they could close to within a point of leaders Ghana should they win this match.
The Black Stars were held 0-0 in Maputo on Sunday in the other group clash, opening the door for Mauritius to make the race for first place a very interesting prospect heading into the final two rounds of matches later this year.
On the other hand, Rwanda will be aiming to take revenge on Club M and will be confident of overcoming them at the Amahoro Stadium. This would lift them up to six points and play right into the hands of Ghana.
Club M have also not had the best time of things in away matches, with their last game on the road in the group ending in a 7-1 embarrassment at the hands of the Black Stars in Accra last year.
Namibian referee Jackson Pavaza will take charge of the game in Kigali.
