It is assumed that the various names given to the types of bra could be probable countries they originate from such as Korea and UK.
There is a misconception on reasons why ladies opt for ‘foose bra’ here in Ghana. Most at times, people relate it to its low pricing especially for low standard livers. An interview with one wholesaler in Accra central proofed that it is highly not the case. It is wholesaled from which ever country approximately GH₵2000.00 and retailed at GH₵5.00 and GH₵7.00-10.00 each for smaller and larger sizes depending on the resilient of bra locking respectively.
Interestingly, some reasons for patronage by customers owe to the ultimate fact that it is long-lasting in nature in an in interview with some wholesalers and retailers. For instance, they said it is believed that ‘store’ bra lasts only 3weeks to 3 months to remain in its original state whilst ‘foose’ bra lasts 1-3 years in its originality. Some also said the hygiene of the product is not important and as such, just a wash with power zone and detol detergent 3 times its ok rather the quality since it’s hard to come by money these days. These reasons have increased the sale of ‘foose’ bra here in Ghana in recent times.
Further in the shocking mystery, even though quite expensive compared to normal store ones some wholesalers and retailers say the business has attracted more people based on the public awareness of its lucrative benefits it yields. All caliber of people are now involved in the purchase of ‘foose’ bra. She further on narrated that the change in the cedi instability has not affected the purchase soo far even though prices of the product keep increasing.
Obviously, some educated elite some years ago use to be shy to be seen buying things like this but in recent times they are bold to be seen buying and even to sell them. Many humans are now entering into the ‘foose’ bra business but as to whether doctors would advice that it should be won is yet to be unraveled.
