Rev. Jerry Adjei Adjetey & Rev. Mrs. Alice K. Adjetey, founders of arise leadership training school
The Arise Leadership Training School held its second congregation since it was founded on the 3rd of February, 2013 by Rev. Jerry Adjei Adjetey and his wife, Rev. Mrs. Alice K. Adjetey. The graduation ceremony took place on the 11th of June, 2016 at Teshie in the auditorium of Arise for Christ Gospel Ministries International.
The training center, headed by founder, Rev. Jerry Adjei Adjetey graduated 61 students which included pastors, singers, prophets or prophetesses and those hoping to play other leadership roles. The training center does not only enroll leaders or prospective leaders in the church but also leaders and prospective leaders in other churches.
Graduands during the procession, entered the auditorium singing the processional hymn, ‘STAND UP FOR JESUS’. The M.C. for the programme was Miss Theresa Ocansey. With her years of experience, Theresa Ocansey made the programme humorous and fun, as well as melodious, as she sang spiritual songs with her beautiful voice. The programme was attended by many members of the church as well as loved ones of the graduands.
Dignitaries who attended included Hon. Dr. Mrs. Gladys Norley Ashitey, former MP of the Ledzokuku constituency and former Deputy Minister of Health. In an interview with the founding president, Rev. Jerry Adjei Adjetey, he said; the training school was a platform to raise leaders to effectively lead the church with foresight and spiritual maturity. It is a center for people in the church, outside the church, both believers and yet-to-be believers.
The training was to equip leaders and prospective leaders to effectively run and operate the church to bring about progress and not problems and retrogression.” When asked what his expectation for the graduands was, he said; “I’m expecting them to go back to their churches, humble themselves to their pastors and contribute their quota to help promote their respective churches; and also assist in fixing some if not all, of the fixable problems in their churches.”

According to Rev. Jerry, the training lasted for 10 months but due to the newly added courses, the duration would be extended to a maximum of 12 months, starting from August 2016.  He stated that, though the training school was headed by him and his wife, it wasn’t a family affair or a family inheritance where the leadership would be passed to his family. Being a leader and as a way to lead by example, his own daughter, Miss Jerrice Adjetey, went through the training and was part of the 61 graduands that graduated this year.
